It has been quite a journey. Preparing a photography project means networking, preparing files for grants, and thinking about possible Kickstarters or crowdfunding campaigns.

But finally, the good times are here. The actual ideas, and turning them into photoshoots and images.
It all starts with finding the models. Not as easy as one might think.
Since the project is only just beginning, I don’t have any photos yet to really show what it’s all about.
So it all comes down to words.
Words to persuade candidates to spend their valuable time with me and step into a vulnerable position.
Because no matter what the photographer promises you… in the end, it’s all comes down to trusting eachother.
Will there really be an exhibition, and isn’t that book just an idealistic carrot on a stick, a lure?

This is how things are going so far:

Things have been a bit more challenging than I expected, but I’ve found a model for tomorrow. Surprisingly, I didn’t have to look far. She’s been a friend of mine for a long time, and I’m really excited to get started. The first photos will be taken on May 2nd, which is perfect timing. I have a get-together with my Breedbeeld mentoring group on May 10th, so I won’t be showing up empty-handed.

Hey HO,…         Let’s GO!
